My mission
At By Joanne, my mission is to create meaningful Memory Bears and Heirloom Quilts that preserve cherished memories and bring comfort to families. Every keepsake is handcrafted with compassion, care, and attention to detail, transforming treasured clothing into timeless heirlooms to be loved for generations.
Meet Joanne
Born and raised in Western Massachusetts, I have loved sewing for as long as I can remember. Years ago, I created handmade country-style items for local gift shops before stepping away to raise my family and work full-time.
After retiring and moving to Cape Cod, I began creating Memory Bears for friends who had lost loved ones. Seeing the comfort these keepsakes brought to families inspired me to continue creating personalized bears, quilts, and keepsakes from cherished clothing and meaningful fabrics.
Today, every Memory Bear and Heirloom Quilt is handcrafted with care, compassion, and attention to detail — helping families preserve memories they can hold close for years to come.
